What we collect and why
When you make a booking
Bookings are taken through Lodgify, our booking system. You provide your name, email address, phone number, postal address and the details of your stay. Payment card details go directly to Lodgify’s payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. We use this to take and manage your booking, contact you about your stay, and meet our legal and tax obligations. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, and legal obligation for record-keeping.
When you use the chat widget
Our site uses Tawk.to for live chat. If you start a conversation, Tawk.to records the messages and technical information about your visit. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
When you email or call us
We keep correspondence so we have a record of what was agreed.
When you browse the site
Analytics and advertising services collect information about your visit — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. See Cookies below.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes. Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to twelve months.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to work; others are used for analytics and advertising. The services currently in use are:
- Lodgify — our booking system and search widget
- Tawk.to — live chat
- Google Ads — advertising and measuring the effectiveness of our adverts
- Google Maps — the embedded map showing our location
- Jetpack / WordPress.com — hosting and basic site statistics
- MailPoet — email, if you subscribe
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of this site work.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it with the service providers listed above, and with our accountant and HMRC where required. Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on the UK’s international transfer safeguards.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email leytonww@gmail.com.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
